ARTS AND SCIENCES DEPARTMENT PHILOSOPHY

ARTS AND SCIENCES DEPARTMENT PHILOSOPHY

In keeping with the College’s mission, the Department of Arts and Sciences provides services that will equip students with the tools that they need to successfully transfer to senior institutions and to successfully obtain their career goals. Additionally, the Arts and Sciences Department strives to make the students’ academic experience at the College positive and rewarding. Faculty and staff members assume a departmental and campus-wide cooperative roll in the execution of the department’s objectives. The Arts and Sciences Department is dedicated to providing quality academic services to the entire WCCS student population.

Small class sizes, instructors who know your name, individual advisors dedicated to helping you pursue your academic and career goals.

The Arts and Sciences Department provides personal attention that is hard to find anyplace else.  Small classes allow for individual attention that is unmatched in larger institutions.  This gives students and faculty the opportunity to learn from each other.

Advisors provide students with individual direction in their chosen field of study and often become lifelong sources of advice and guidance. We understand the importance of individual attention in educational development.  We strive to achieve it both in and out of the classroom.
