Do I need a student or faculty/staff ID card?
Yes.  All students and faculty/staff are required to obtain a student or faculty/staff ID card.  Your first ID is free.  Additional or replacement IDs are $5.00.

How do I get my student or faculty/staff ID?
Both IDs are issued by Campus Police between 8a-4pm M-Th.

Students need the following document(s) to be issued an ID:

  1. A copy of your current student schedule
  2. GED students will need a letter of enrollment from the Director of Adult Education

*Faculty/Staff do not need any supporting documents.

I need a permit to park on campus?
Yes.  All students and faculty/staff are required to obtain a WCCS parking decal.  Your first decal is free.  Additional or replacements decals are $5.00.

Students and faculty/staff will need the following to obtain a parking decal:

  1. Current driver’s license
  2. Current insurance card
  3. Current tag receipt

Where do I pay for my ID and parking decal?
All IDs and parking decals are paid for at the cashier’s office located in room number SL 11 in the New Student Center.

Where do I display my parking decal?
Your parking decal shall be displayed on your front windshield driver side lower corner.

What should I do if involved in a minor accident on campus?
If you are involved in a minor accident while on campus, notify campus police at 9227 if dialing from an on campus phone or 334-375-6036 from a non-campus phone.

Where is WCCS Police Department located?
Campus police is located in the Administration building office 109.

How do I report suspicious or criminal activity?
You may report suspicious or criminal activity to the agency of jurisdiction.

You may report campus crimes to campus police by dialing 9227 from a campus phone or 334-375-6036 from a non-campus phone.

You may report city and county jurisdictional crimes to 334-874-2578.

When in doubt, dial 911.

Does WCCS have an emergency alert system?
Yes.  WCCS has an emergency alert system.  WCCS utilizes the SchoolCast alert system to notify students when notifications are required.

Are firearms permitted on campus or if I have a gun permit, can I carry/have my gun on campus?
No. Firearms are prohibited on campus or on any other facility operated by WCCS.

Is your department a security or police department?
WCCS campus police is a 24 hour police department.

Can campus police make arrests?
Yes.  Campus police officers can make arrests on and off campus.

I am of legal age to consume alcoholic beverage. May I do so on campus?
No.  Alcoholic beverages are prohibited at WCCS.
