Educational Talent Search

“Talent Search” is designed to assist students in grades 6-12 and out of school students in the completion of their secondary or post-secondary education. The Educational Talent Search Program is offered at no expense to those individuals who qualify. Under the special clause in the federal guidelines of the TRIO programs, veterans, regardless of age, are eligible to participate in the Educational Talent Search program. Individuals with prior military experience who want to attend college to attain a degree are urged to contact the WCCS Talent Search office for assistance in this area. Also, individuals who attended college but withdrew before receiving a certificate or degree may be eligible for Talent Search. If you are a college dropout who wants to return to school, please contact the WCCS Talent Search office for assistance with admissions and financial aid, using such sites as FinAid! and FAFSA. The WCCS Talent Search Dropout Reduction Program provides counseling and assistance to high school, post-secondary dropouts to help them get back into school or into a GED preparatory program. All dropout participants are encouraged to think about college enrollment once they receive a diploma or GED. Admissions information from the various two-year and four-year colleges and universities around the country is available to each participant.
