For admission to Wallace Community College Selma, 
an applicant must:

    Submit a WCCS Online Application.

    Submit High School or GED Official Transcript.  Student will be allowed to register for one semester with an unofficial transcript.  

    Please remember you will be unconditionally admitted if you do not submit an official transcript. (See information below regarding conditional and unconditional admission)

• All male students between the ages of 18 and 26 must register with the U.S. Selective Service System prior to enrolling in any state institution of higher education.

Returning Students:

Individuals who previously attended Wallace Community College Selma and who seek to return after an absence 
of one semester or more (excluding the summer term) must:

    Submit a Readmission Application, complying with current admissions requirements

    Supply transcripts of all academic work taken since last attending WCCS.

Admission Status Types:

There are two types of admission status. 

  1. 1

    Unconditional Status: Students who have submitted all required documentation may be admitted as unconditional status.

  2. 2

    Conditional Status: Students who have not submitted all required documentation may be admitted as conditional status. Failure to provide documentation by the end of the first semester, will prevent a student from future registration and releasing your official or unofficial transcript.

Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit allows eligible high school students to enroll in college classes concurrently with high school classes, either on the college campus or at the high school and receive both high school and college credit. Requirements for Dual Enrollment at 
Wallace Community College Selma:

    Submit a WCCS Online Application.

    All prospective dual enrollment students must complete an Admissions Application. If you have never created a user account, please select the  "First-time user account creation" link.

    Complete a Dual Enrollment Permission Forms

    All students enrolling in the Dual Enrollment Program must complete the following:
    (1.) Eligibility for Dual Enrollment form. This form must be signed by the students’ parents and high school counselor. Also, (2.) a copy of your state-issued ID must be provided to your high school counselor or high school Dual Enrollment Coordinator.

    Clear the Fees

    The cost is $152 per credit hour; therefore, 3-credit hour course will be a total of $456 plus the cost of books. Students must clear fees online by check, credit, or debit card. Please see instruction sheet for procedure to clear your fees online.

    Purchase Your Book

A transfer student who attends another post-secondary institution and who seeks credit for transfer to that parent institution may be admitted to the College as a transient student.

 

Requirements for Transient Student Admission at 
Wallace Community College Selma:

    Submit A WCCS Application.

    Proof of identification (send to admissions.records@wccs.edu)

  3. 3

    Complete the Transient Authorization Form from the institution that certifies that the credit earned at the college will be accepted as a part of the student’s academic program.

Note:

• Transient Students are responsible for completing the transcript request to assure that transcripts are sent to the parent institution.

• WCCS Students who seek to take classes as a transient student at another institution should contact the admissions office to request a Transient Authorization Form. Students must be in good academic standing. Students who owe a balance to the college will not be issued a Transient Authorization Form.

    Submit one primary form of documentation such as an unexpired Alabama driver’s license; an unexpired Alabama identification card; an unexpired U.S. passport; an unexpired U.S. permanent resident card; unexpired Driver License or instruction permit from another state dated 2000 and beyond; U. S. Alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-151) prior to 1978; BIA or tribal identification card with photo; or an I- 797 Form with expiration date. The ID can be sent to admissions.records@wccs.edu
